Чрез модула дистанционно се четат данните ,съдържащи се в тахографската карта на водача.
Дистанционното четене на данни от тахографа е необходимо за превозни средства , които дълго време работят извън страната и собственикът няма физически достъп до тахографа.
Информацията от тахо картите се предава чрез интернет и GPRS модул, независимо къде се намира превозното средство.
Необходимо оборудване в камиона:
– цифров тахограф
– модул за четене на информацията от тахографа /mRDD /
– GPRS модул за предаване данни от тахографа
Неохбходимо оборудване при собственика:
– компютър
– четец тахо карти
Четецът се купува еднократно, за всички камиони.
Моделите тахографи, които поддържат дистанционно сваляне на данни са:
VDO – DTCO 1381 Версия 1.4 или по голяма
Stoneridge – SE5000 Версия 7.3 или по голяма
Intellic – EFAS4 Всички версии
По подразбиране опцията за отдалечено сваляне в тези тахографи е забранена и преди монтажа автомобилът трябва да мине през сервиз за тахографи и опцията да бъде активирана.

Моделите тахографи, които поддържат дистанционно сваляне на данни са:
VDO – DTCO 1381 Версия 1.4 или по голяма
Stoneridge – SE5000 Версия 7.3 или по голяма
Intellic – EFAS4 Всички версии
По подразбиране опцията за отдалечено сваляне в тези тахографи е забранена и преди монтажа автомобилът трябва да мине през сервиз за тахографи и опцията да бъде активирана.
